Theresa Bentch, MBA, CPP, CBCP
Theresa Bentch is the Director of Physical Security and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at Garmin International. She holds a bachelor’s in security management and a Master’s in Business Administration. She is a certified protection professional and a certified business continuity professional. She served as a Law Enforcement Officer for 9 years before transitioning into Corporate Security. During her tenure as an officer, she served on the SWAT team; specializing in rescue search and dive and served as an instructor for police officers on defensive tactics, Taser operations and use of force policies. Additionally, she operates as a private security consultant specializing in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery. She is in her 19thyear of service to the U.S. Army Reserves and currently holds the rank of Major. Her military tours include Operation Iraqi Freedom and humanitarian relief efforts in West Africa.
Theresa is married to a Kansas City Missouri Police Sargent and has two step-sons who attend University of Missouri. As a family, they enjoying camping, hiking, kayaking, and attending Mizzou sporting events.
