Title: Physical and Integrated Security Systems WWI Museum
Presenter: Chris Wyche, the Vice President for Facilities Operations Management and Technology
Novembers speaker is Chris Wyche, the Vice President for Facilities Operations Management and Technology at the WWI Museum, will be speaking on the unique aspects of providing Physical and Integrated security systems at such a unique location to include: Large event management (Royals Parade), operating within the scope of National Historic Society regulations and how their unique systems have to help manage the preservation as well as the security of artifacts stored within the museum. Moreover, Chris’ team is responsible for providing security for one of the largest historic weapons arsenals outside of the Smithsonian institute.
Chris Wyche is completing his first year as the Vice President for Facilities Operations Management and technology at the National World War I Museum and Memorial, where his duties include responsibility for security for both the Memorial and the 47 acre park on which it sits. Prior to working at the museum, Wyche was Executive Vice President for Operations for Sporting Kansas City for nine years, during which time he was also general Manager of what is today known as Children’s mercy park. Prior to that, Wyche spent almost twenty years in college athletics and association work. A graduate of McNeese State University, Wyche did his graduate work at Oklahoma City University.
